About Us

About Norstar Agriculture

At Norstar Agriculture, our goal is to ensure every farmer we meet is provided with services to help evaluate their soil needs and move forward with a solution to individually help their farms flourish. The products we carry we can help with a myriad of soil issues such as pH, salinity, deficiencies, and toxicity. Over the last eight years we have expanded our reach and became a dealer of Omex Canada to give our team of traveling sales agronomists the support they need to meet farmers, set up soil testing, and review the results to create a plan that is beneficial for both the farm and the farmer.

Verne Klassen

Peace Region, Alberta

Verne grew up on a mixed farming operation in the South Peace District near Debolt Alberta, where his passion for livestock, agriculture, and soil management began. He left the farm to spread his wings and dove into project management for a number of years.

During those years, he got his PMP at NAIT and joined the Board of Directors within the CHBA. Unable to squash his passion for agriculture and soil nutrition and management, he pivoted in 2015 back into agriculture, working at a couple of large farms. He leveraged the skills gained from project management and started into sales, selling equipment and soil amendments for Replenish Nutrients. Along with this, he started custom fertilizer and lime spreading and performed soil and tissue samples across Alberta.

He is currently working on his certification as an Agronomist and CCA. A few of Verne’s hobbies include a passion for tree health and growth, long-distance motorcycling, and, most of all, quality time with friends and family.
