Brent Adnam B.S.A A.ag
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
Brent grew up on a farm 4 miles east of Rosetown, SK. After high school he moved to Weyburn, SK to work on a grain farm with his brother-in-law. Since graduating from the University of Saskatchewan in 2012 Brent has worked in the agriculture industry, the past eight years being with agricultural tech company. Brent started with the Norstar team in February 2023 and enjoys working with a fast-growing, innovative company.
Brent is a Montreal Canadiens fan and in his spare time he enjoys all sports, traveling, camping, going to his cabin, and spending time with family and friends.

Roya Faramarzi, M.Sc.
Edmonton, Alberta
Roya grew up with a deep appreciation for agriculture, which led her to pursue advanced studies in soil science and land management.
She holds a Master of Science in Agricultural Soil Science from the University of Alberta and another M.Sc. in Agricultural Soil Physics from Tarbiat Modares University. With extensive experience in soil health, crop management, and
water-use efficiency, Roya has conducted field research across Alberta and beyond. She is passionate about sustainable agriculture and supporting farmers with practical, science-based solutions. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, hiking, spending time with friends and family, and volunteering.

Calvin Bast
Lloydminster, Alberta
Calvin grew up on a mixed farm in South East Saskatchewan near the village of Montmartre. Upon completion of high school, he attended the College of Agriculture at the University of Saskatchewan where he graduated with a major in Agronomy. Calvin has spent his working career in the crop inputs and ag equipment industries. He has a strong interest in soil health and has a curious nature about why soils and plants behave they way they do. Calvin enjoys gardening, being a volunteer firefighter, and in his spare time he can be found cheering on his kids at arenas, diamonds, fields, courts and anything else they choose to do. Calvin joined the Norstar team in January of 2026 and is excited to help growers identify and solve soil health and crop nutrition challenges with practical, field proven solutions.

Courtney Mueller B.Sc.
Westlock, Alberta
Courtney grew up on a mixed operation farm North of Clyde Alberta, where her passion for the agriculture industry is rooted. She achieved her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Alberta in 2020, majoring in Sustainable Agriculture. She joined the Norstar team in September 2023. In her spare time, she enjoys helping on her family farm, gardening, and spending time with her many pets.

Kaycee Scobey
Kaycee Scobey is an Agriculture Sales Representative with Norstar Agriculture who brings practical field experience and a genuine passion for the agriculture industry. A graduate of Olds College with a diploma in Land and Water Resources, Kaycee has a background in agronomy, crop scouting, and customer service, allowing her to work closely with growers to deliver solutions tailored to each operation.
Raised around agriculture, Kaycee understands the day-to-day realities producers face and values building strong, honest relationships. Whether she’s in the field or working one-on-one with customers, she is committed to helping operations succeed.
Outside of work, Kaycee enjoys competing at rodeos, hiking, and traveling.
Dave Thompson
Wanham, Alberta
Dave’s professional journey is defined by a global perspective
and a steadfast commitment to the land. Originally from Jamaica, he now stewards an acreage south of Wanham, Alberta, alongside my family, a place where my technical expertise and personal passion for agriculture converge into a singular mission.
This breadth of experience allows me to approach farming challenges not just as a technician, but as a strategist who understands the economic and regulatory realities of the modern producer.
I believe that true leadership in agriculture requires more than consultation; it requires empowerment. I am dedicated to coaching producers to embrace innovative techniques, helping them transition from traditional operators to intentional stewards of the soil and the environment.

Payton Kirkness B.S.A. S.S.
Stettler, Alberta
Payton grew up in Stettler, Alberta. She achieved her diploma in Land Reclamation from Lakeland College in 2020, where she found her passion for soil health. She continued her education and achieved her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a major in Soil Science from the University of Saskatchewan in 2023. She is eager to learn about the ever-changing agricultural industry and to create relationships within her farming community. She joined the Norstar team in May 2023. Payton's career focused on the University of Alberta CKD plot and commercial trials. In August, she became the sales representative based out of Stettler, Alberta. In her spare time, she enjoys staying at her cabin in Saskatchewan, as well as spending time with her family and friends, however, most of all her dog Lenny.
